  • Rebuilt alert builder — combine conditions, attach notes, and preview triggers before they fire.
  • Watchlist 2.0 — drag-to-group symbols, inline mini-charts, instant cross-device sync.

Pine Script v6 & faster cold start.

A new scripting engine and a leaner startup path across every desktop platform.

  • Pine Script v6 — faster compilation, dynamic requests, and a new library system.
  • 2× faster cold start — the renderer warms in the background after install.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Is there a free version of TradingView?

Yes. The free plan includes interactive charts, watchlists, a set of built-in indicators, and basic alerts, with market data delayed where exchanges require it. Paid plans unlock more chart layouts per tab, more active alerts, intraday depth, and additional indicators. Current limits for each tier are listed on the official pricing page.

Can I use the charts without an account?

Browsing charts and quotes works without signing in. An account is only needed to save layouts, sync watchlists, receive alerts, and publish Pine scripts. One account works everywhere — web, desktop, and mobile — with no separate keys per device.

How does the desktop app differ from the web version?

Both run the same charting engine on the same account data. The desktop app adds detachable windows for multi-monitor setups, native OS shortcuts and notifications, optional always-on alerts, and lower-latency streaming on supported feeds. The web app is ideal when you'd rather not install anything and want continuous updates.

Which markets and exchanges are covered?

TradingView covers stocks, ETFs, forex, crypto, futures, indices, and bonds, sourced from 100+ exchanges and data providers worldwide. Real-time access is available where licensing allows; otherwise data is shown delayed. You can also add real-time data packages for specific exchanges.

Which operating systems are supported?

Desktop builds target Windows 10 and 11 (x86-64 and ARM64), macOS 11 Big Sur or later (Intel and Apple Silicon), and modern Linux distributions with glibc 2.31+, including Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+, Fedora 36+, and Arch. Mobile clients support iOS 14+ and Android 8.0+.

Are the downloads safe to install?

Windows installers are code-signed by TradingView Inc. The macOS app is notarized by Apple and checked by Gatekeeper at first launch. Linux packages are GPG-signed, with SHA-256 checksums published next to every release so you can verify a download before installing it.
